** UPDATE **: I fixed the video problem with not being able to 'move forward' or see how much time was left in the video. You may now drag the time slider-bar forward in the video (once enough of the video loads).
Okay - hopefully I haven't inundated everyone with too much 'Jericho' information lately. Needless to say, it's a wonderful show that can be watched with the whole family - and will keep you on the edge of your seat. See what the largest show cancellation protest in TV history was all about when it re-airs starting with the First Season on Fridays this Summer starting July 6th, 2007 at 8pm CST (9pm EST). 7 new episodes will follow not long after that - possibly at the first of the year - but I'll post back when they officially announce it.
New pictures of Logan at 11-months: We finally got time also to post pictures of Logan at 11 months from around June 1st. Logan has grown a lot - and is crawling and pulling up on things very well! Most say he looks like his momma right now - which probably isn't a bad thing! Just click the picture to the left of this to view the new photo album. Best way to view all the pictures is to click the picture on the left - then click 'View Slideshow' when the album comes up.
Now for more good stuff: I also finally got a chance to convert and upload the 20-week ultrasound video of the second Baby Russell that is due in October. You can't see a lot at first - but it gets better shortly after that. Plus - at the end - you can see baby stick it's thumb in it's mouth. And some of you may already know - but this baby is a baby girl!
(you can see this at around 8min 30secs into the video)
Just click in the middle of the video to start playing. You may also click the small 'square' icon next to the volume below the video to make it 'full-screen'. (then press your ESC key when done viewing)
Hope you enjoy - and please let us hear from you via the comments! We'd love to hear from you! (click the comment link below this post to leave us a comment).
UPDATE: Well perisistence pays off. When I spoke with Daren Bobb from KFSM 5 News today, I linked him to the NUTSONLINE.COM website, the WCBS-TV article by the CBS 2 New York affiliate, and also gave him the number for Nutsonline CEO Jeffrey Braverman to interview about the Save Jericho Campaign. Many thanks to Daren Bobb for airing this story tonight (05/24/07) on the 10pm nightly news in their Top Stories. Help join the fight at http://www.jericholives.com.
Here is the Youtube video of the ‘Save Jericho’ Nuts story on our local KFSM 5 News posted by a fellow Jericho fan ‘Keith Hocott’ from our area. Enjoy!
Hey everyone,
I know it’s been awhile since we’ve posted any pictures of Logan or the family - but I felt like I had to say something about this topic.
Whether you’ve heard or not, or have seen the show, the hit CBS television show ‘Jericho’ was cancelled on May 16th after running for 22 amazing episodes this season. It is a show about a post-apocalyptic town of Jericho, Kansas - that has to survive and come together after someone has attacked multiple major US cities with nuclear bombs. CBS claims that viewership ‘dropped’ after it returned from a mid-season hiatus that left it off the air for over 10 weeks with no re-runs or advertisement.
To make a long story short, millions of fans - including myself and my wife - are very upset that they’ve pulled the show off the air - even though it still had 9 million plus viewers according to the ‘Nielsen’ ratings system - versus it’s original 11 million plus viewers it had before the 10-week mid-season break. However, as many fans have noted, the Nielsen ratings don’t take well into account the number of viewers that either watched the show after recording it to DVR - or by watching it online through Innertube for free at CBS’s website or through iTunes.
CBS also left the show in it’s original timeslot of Wednesday at 8pm EST/7pm CST against tv juggernaut American Idol - even though they showed ‘declining ratings’ - and didn’t attempt to change it’s schedule to avoid this. ABC’s show ‘LOST’ was also running against American Idol after their mid-season break - but ABC decided to move the show to avoid a ratings blunder and help the show.
To make matters worse, CBS left fans thinking that the last episode of the season was a ’season finale’ - and not a ’series finale’ - and left everyone with a major cliffhanging ending with the town of Jericho in a gunfight between a rival town - with the current military sweeping in with helicoptors and tanks to aid or break-up the fight.
Fans of the show, including myself, are outraged that CBS has done this - and have joined in a campaign to send actual NUTS to CBS Headquarters in New York - in protest of the show being cancelled. ‘Nuts’ is a phrase the main character Jake Green played by Skeet Ulrich used in the last episode of the season in reference to a World War II battle cry from the Battle of the Bulge. Their response to the enemy - and Jake’s response to the rival town - of surrendering was ‘NUTS’ - meaning - ‘you’re nuts - we’re not going down without a fight’.
Then check out the third delivery of over 5000 pounds (yes 5000!) of nuts via UPS and hand-delivered by Nutsonline.com CEO Jeffrey Braverman again to CBS Headquarters in New York on 05/24 (Thu): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AL6a4GmN5rw
Daren Bobb from KFSM 5 news in Fort Smith contacted me earlier today about the story - and 5newsonline.com is running a web poll about the ‘Cancellation of Jericho’.
Please help show your support by going on their website at http://www.5newsonline.com and voting for the show!
Help join in the Save Jericho fight by visiting http://www.jericholives.com and http://www.jerichorallypoint.com. Also check out and participate in the CBS message boards at http://www.cbs.com/jericho - and click on the link that says ‘Message Boards’. Tell network TV that you’re tired of it canceling the shows that WE, the viewers, want to watch!
If you haven’t seen this great show, you can go on CBS’s website at http://www.cbs.com/jericho and watch full episodes of the show. I suggest you watch the last episode ‘Why We Fight’ for some very compelling story.
Thanks in advance for your support - and help us SAVE JERICHO - and bring it back for a second season!
Okay, I finally got time to convert the VHS tape from the 4-D ultrasound onto the computer - and then upload that to the website. Since the entire 4-D ultrasound was 25 minutes long, I split it into two 12-minute parts. This should help people that might want to watch part of it at one sitting - and then the other part in another sitting.
Also, I won’t be doing this very often - but I felt like the video quality of this ultrasound was important enough that I uploaded the near full quality video of it - as well as a reduced quality video for those on slower internet connections or dial-up. So anyone with a fast internet connection such as Cable or DSL should try the ‘HIGH QUALITY’ links to play the videos below. If this doesn’t work for you (you start getting choppy or pausing video), or you are on a dial-up internet connection, then please use the ‘NORMAL QUALITY’ links to play the videos. Regardless of which you choose, be sure to give it at least 15-30 seconds to start playing the video (and possibly longer on dial-up) - as your computer has to download (buffer) enough of the video to start playing. This played for me just fine on our SBC DSL 1.5mbps (1500kbps) connection - but please report back your experiences playing them.
This ultrasound is really neat to watch if you’ve never seen a 4-D ultrasound - or even if you have, it’s still really cool. :) Remember, it’s all done with ’sound waves’ (ultrasound) - which really amazes me. Enjoy.
VIDEO TIP: If you’d like to try viewing in full-screen, once the video is playing: CLICK on the video ONCE to activate the video window - then RIGHT-CLICK on the video window again … and click ‘ZOOM’ … then ‘FULL SCREEN’ to activate full-screen mode. Hit ESC at any time to exit full-screen mode.
Okay, it looks like we’re going to be having a good size baby! For those of you who’ve never seen a ‘4-D’ (4-dimensional) ultrasound, you’re in for a surprise. You’ll be amazed at the level of detail that a 4-D ultrasound delivers. You basically can tell almost exactly what your baby is going to look like. Right now, Baby Logan is weighing around 4.4 lbs. at 7 and 1/2 months according to the ultrasound technician. It looks like he’s on his way to being an 8-10 pound baby like his mommy and daddy were! We’re just thrilled that everything is looking great right now.
We got over 25 minutes of video! (yes, you heard me right). Pretty amazing. The ultrasound technician (Jada) did an excellent job - and got some really good shots of him doing things like yawning and sticking out his tongue. I guess he’s a little prankster already - also like mommy and daddy!
This first video is a short clip showing him yawning. There will be more to follow.
I will probably be splitting up the ultrasound video into 2 parts - around two 12-minute videos. Watch for it on the next post.
Enjoy, and we hope you all are doing well. Please continue to keep Baby Logan and Kristi in your thoughts and prayers.
This is a test video post of the Baby Logan Ultrasound at 20 weeks (5 months). You can clearly tell ‘it’s a boy’ from watching the video.
VIDEO TIP: Once the video is playing, DOUBLE-CLICK the video TWICE to activate full-screen mode.
