I’ve added a new email subscription plugin to make it much easier to follow the changes on the site.

Please signup through this link - then follow the instructions you receive to confirm your subscription.

You will then be notified of all updated posts to the site.  You may need to watch your ‘junk mail’ folders for the first couple emails - but if you will add the email you receive from the website to your ’safe list’ (or NOT SPAM list), you should then receive all other emails just fine. 

You can even register with the website through the ‘Register’ link - and choose to only be updated on certain ‘category’ postings (such as ‘Videoblogs’ and ‘News’) - but this is not required.  Simply your email address is just fine - which will notify you on all updates to the website.

I’ve also added a comments subscription program.  As long as you leave the checkbox selected to notify you of new comments added, you will receive updates to any comments you have left as well.

Okay, I finally got time to convert the VHS tape from the 4-D ultrasound onto the computer - and then upload that to the website.  Since the entire 4-D ultrasound was 25 minutes long, I split it into two 12-minute parts.  This should help people that might want to watch part of it at one sitting - and then the other part in another sitting.

Also, I won’t be doing this very often - but I felt like the video quality of this ultrasound was important enough that I uploaded the near full quality video of it - as well as a reduced quality video for those on slower internet connections or dial-up.  So anyone with a fast internet connection such as Cable or DSL should try the ‘HIGH QUALITY’ links to play the videos below.  If this doesn’t work for you (you start getting choppy or pausing video), or you are on a dial-up internet connection, then please use the ‘NORMAL QUALITY’ links to play the videos.  Regardless of which you choose, be sure to give it at least 15-30 seconds to start playing the video (and possibly longer on dial-up) - as your computer has to download (buffer) enough of the video to start playing.  This played for me just fine on our SBC DSL 1.5mbps (1500kbps) connection - but please report back your experiences playing them.

This ultrasound is really neat to watch if you’ve never seen a 4-D ultrasound - or even if you have, it’s still really cool.  :)  Remember, it’s all done with ’sound waves’ (ultrasound) - which really amazes me.  Enjoy.

VIDEO TIP: If you’d like to try viewing in full-screen, once the video is playing: CLICK on the video ONCE to activate the video window - then RIGHT-CLICK on the video window again … and click ‘ZOOM’ … then ‘FULL SCREEN’ to activate full-screen mode.  Hit ESC at any time to exit full-screen mode.

After much work, I’ve added in a very nice photo gallery software called ‘Gallery2′.  Just click on the ‘Photo Gallery’ link at the top of the website page to access the photos.  This gives us the ability to add photo albums as I have done with my previous photo album website - plus the ability to display these albums as ’slideshows’.  It also gives some other extra flexibility (too numerous to mention) - but needless to say, it has the ability to order actual prints from certain photo website companies.  Feel free to order actual photos from any of these companies - as I always upload the pictures in full quality for this exact reason.  I’m hoping they will add support for Snapfish soon - which will give the ability to get prints made at any Walgreens (or Costco I believe too).  I’ll post on this if it happens of course.  Enjoy the pictures!  I added 18 pictures from the ‘4-D’ ultrasound of Baby Logan - plus 12 pictures from the Baby Shower given by Woods Elementary.  Please leave feedback on what you think of all this - including what you think of the site (good/bad/etc.).  Family and Friends comments are all welcome!

Okay, it looks like we’re going to be having a good size baby!  For those of you who’ve never seen a ‘4-D’ (4-dimensional) ultrasound, you’re in for a surprise. You’ll be amazed at the level of detail that a 4-D ultrasound delivers. You basically can tell almost exactly what your baby is going to look like. Right now, Baby Logan is weighing around 4.4 lbs. at 7 and 1/2 months according to the ultrasound technician. It looks like he’s on his way to being an 8-10 pound baby like his mommy and daddy were! We’re just thrilled that everything is looking great right now.

We got over 25 minutes of video! (yes, you heard me right). Pretty amazing. The ultrasound technician (Jada) did an excellent job - and got some really good shots of him doing things like yawning and sticking out his tongue. I guess he’s a little prankster already - also like mommy and daddy!

This first video is a short clip showing him yawning. There will be more to follow.

I will probably be splitting up the ultrasound video into 2 parts - around two 12-minute videos. Watch for it on the next post.

This is Kevin and Kristi’s new blog/vlog (weblog/videolog) on the Internet.  We’ve created this to help keep family and friends updated on the happenings in our lives.  As most of you know, Kristi is now 7 months along - and we’ll be expecting a little Kevin (actual name will be Logan) here in a couple months.  We’ll be going tomorrow for the ‘4-D’ ultrasound - where you can basically tell almost exactly what your baby will look like.  As another neat feature of a ‘blog/vlog’ like this, I will be able to post the video of that ultrasound here for everyone to see.  More to come.
